I have two queen albums [the works is one]. i have the greatest hits on
record. i need to get a CD comp.
"Rocks" is almost all the good guitar-oriented songs. It might as well
be called "The best of the Queen songs written by Brian May". As a comp,
its not bad. "The A-Z of Queen" is OK, but not nearly in depth enough,
but it does include a DVD of videos. "Stone Cold Classics" is really
just a comp to make money off of their last tour, and their appearance
that year on "American Idol", but its track selection is a little weak.
Go for "The Platinum Collection", as its easier to find than the "Gold
Collection", and is usually cheaper, despite being 3 discs instead of 2.
Stay away from Hollywoods red Greateest Hits and Classic Queen.
--- I agree
but even those comp's leave off alot of good album cut's. I would
suggest getting all their early albums up till "The Game" album. You
need to hear great songs like Liar, Great King Rat, Son and Daughter,
Ogre Battle, Brighton Rock, Death on Two Legs, The Millionaire Waltz,
It's Late, and Let Me Entertain You. Jason
